Thanks for being here, I’m Gillian!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with an undergraduate degree in Psychology (Memorial University of Newfoundland) and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University). I have studied mental health across a range of age and groups, and have completed training in the areas of supporting individuals with dementia.

At the heart of being human is the desire for connection with others and our world. But sometimes it can feel like we are stuck and disconnected. As a therapist, I set out to build strong connections with my clients, making them feel seen, heard, and cared for. Together we set goals and make a treatment plan, taking into account each individual’s unique experiences, culture and beliefs.

I work with individuals, couples, and families on relationship and intimacy issues, stress, anxiety, depression, self-worth, grief, chronic illness, life transitions and more. I strive to make my clients feel the warmth of a strong therapeutic relationship, in which you feel empowered in achieving your goals, appreciated for your strengths and abilities, and supported through life's challenges.
